GAN 12 (Magnetisch, Maglev, Ball-Core, UV)

This cube is extremely controllable and yet it is quite fast. About as fast as the GAN 11 M pro, which is fast but not too fast. Outside feel is UV coating so it's grippy. It has perfect corner cutting and is very smooth. It is very controllable and I don't overshoot with m slices or normal turns. Accessories The bag it comes with is really nice feeling and the display case is the best I have seen but it does feel like it could break easier than the GAN 13 case. The adjustment system is very good. I think the factory default settings are the best. The magnetic adjustment system is really good but you need a tool. Anti corner twist and anti pop is perfect I haven't got any corner twists or pops. Conclusion It's grippy not too grippy, perfect corner cutting and is smooth, amazing magnetic adjustment system and perfect other adjustment system and never corner twists or pops Best speed cube ever.

I just got this for my birthday and I am VERY impressed. Like said in the title I would highly recommend it. It’s a little dry on first turns, although pre- lubed. Do random turns and it will wear the live in. enjoy!

So when I opened the box, the was a sense of **** in there. This is definitely true.

This cube may cost a lot compared to other flagship cubes but it’s worth it in my eyes. From unboxing to first turns it was amazing to look at. As usual GAN outdid themselves on the quality of the cube and it’s presentation. The UV coating gives the cube a deep rich glossy loom and feel, plenty of grip thankfully as if I dropped this I think I would cry!! Turns are crisp and precise with a bit of clackiness from the magnets. Going back to any of my other cubes after this one makes everything feel slow in comparison..

It turns really fast, I got Setup service with Smooth + Fast, And after using this cube, it made my other fast cubes feel slow in comparison because it is so fast, its colour scheme is awesome, and when you work out the tensioning system, you can change it's settings to most people's preferences, I really like the MagLev tech too, it's one of the reasons this cube is so fast and cool. I fell in love with GAN when I decided to jump from the GTS3M to the Gan 11 M Pro as soon as it was available, loved everything about it. Didn't think I'd find something that felt as nice, then I got this beasty cube, straight out the box it was a certified "WTF!!!" just so slick and fast, even compared to my Gan 11 on my personal settings running 100WT for lube, I had to try all sorts of settings just for giggles, and at it's slackest with minimum magnet control, it was stupidly fast, if you removed edge and corner magnets this thing would probably spin for hours LOL...

Pros : FULLY tweakable, can be good for Roux solvers on min core settings (corner adjusters on minus) and weakest mags (triangular), or swap out to strongest (hex) to give the ultimate lock through the slick turns.
You have an additional 2 clicks on the distancing adjustment compared to the 4 for the Gan11, and no fiddly swapping out to worry about and a bit finer adjustment.
The UV coating is amazing, I was swapping out mags and had lube on my fingers, whilst the Gan 11 (standard version) would feel slippy, the Gan 12's UV coating still provides a nice positive grip even with lube all over it.

Cons : I think everyone says the price, currently the most expensive 3x3 out there, but I feel it's a price worth paying if you want a cube that can be made 100% your cube.
The swapping of the magnets can be fiddly if you remove the centre magnets, as these simply fall apart into 3 pieces (2 magnets and the top lock/adjuster), but after a couple attempts you get a knack of putting it back together quite easily.

Out of the box, this cube had tight tensions, but it was turning super fast as though it had loose tensions, so the speed is consistent no matter how you tension it. It was also very dry, and as a result of that, it was REALLY loud (nothing a bit of lube can't fix)

The friction is negligible. It took a lot of getting used to, but now I can't go back. My GAN 11 M Pro now feels extremely sluggish in comparison; the MagLev is just that fast. It definitely suits lighter turning styles, so if you're a heavy turner, you've got to loosen your grip a bit.

All I really did to set mine up was loosen the tensions from 4 to 3, then put a few drops of lubicle speedy in it, and then I broke it in. I personally didn't feel the need to change the magnets.

I saw in a review by JPerm that he was having corner catching issues, but try as I might, I haven't been able to reproduce what he had.

The lack of spring noise is also a nice bonus, on older cubes it often just doesn't go away even if you lube the springs directly.

All in all, this cube is amazing, and MagLev is definitely the future of cubing hardware. Now we've just got to wait for MagLev to make its way to big cubes, where it will probably have the biggest impact.

Ultra-Sonic cube and perfect settings: will of course be my main...even out-plays the 15 maglev, which is crazy!

This is the best cube money can buy although it is a lot of money, it is all worth it. The cube is fast, not too fast and it is very controllable. The corner cutting is perfect it nearly corner cuts everywhere but it is still more than you will ever need. It has never corner twisted or popped. The automatic alignment system is very useful and quite cool. The UV coating makes it more grippy but not too grippy that it is weird.
The GAN 12 MagLev UV is the best 3x3 money can buy at the moment.

This is the best speedcube ever. Out of the box it is on quite tight tensions but feels fast and controllable. It is very smooth and is grippy due to the uv coating so it won't fall out of your hands as much. It has a very good auto-alignment system and perfect corner cutting. Amazing.

This is a great cube - definitely worth the price. It turns fast and is very customisable using the maglev adjustment system. With lubricant it is even faster. I managed to get my first sub 20 solve on this cube, so I’m really happy I purchased it.
