2x2 First Layer

Use this tool to learn the most optimal solution to solving either the complete white layer or just the complete white face. You can enter a custom scramble or have the tool generate one for you. Note: As you get quicker, the most optimal solution to solving a face or layer may not always be the best for your current cube state. Also, this tool will currently only track the white layer.

ALL SIX SIDES White stickers outlined

Start with a solved cube, white on top and green facing you. Apply the scramble from left to right.

Complete first layer makes a white face with matching side colours. White face only puts all four white stickers together without requiring the side colours to match.

Any face searches all six possible finishing faces. Choose Bottom (D) to build white underneath. Keep your original hold when following the solution.

Each 90° or 180° face turn counts as one move. Whole-cube rotations are not included. Generated scrambles are random-turn practice scrambles, not official WCA random-state scrambles.
