Le YJ MGC 5x5 est un 5x5 magnétique lancé par YJ dans la gamme de puzzles MGC fin 2019. Dès sa sortie de la boîte, le MGC 5x5 est super fluide et offre une sensation magnétique moyenne. Ce speedcube 5x5 particulier a été bien accueilli par la communauté speedcubing et est un incontournable pour la collection de tout cuber sérieux.
Début 2020, c'est l'un des cubes 5x5 les plus prisés sur le marché par de nombreux speedcubeurs de classe mondiale et restera à jamais dans l'histoire comme l'une des sorties les plus réussies de YJ.

Good cube! Would recommend. Had spring noise OOTB easily fixed with lube

But however my cube came with a colour defect on orange with 8 pieces being a darker orange

I'd seen a few short reviews of this cube online, and most of them seemed to report it being really fast and lubricated out of the box, however, mine was quite different. It was extremely slow and sandy but by applying a generous amount of lube and spending a while breaking it in, I was able to overcome this.
The puzzle is really light, coming in at a little over 135g. It has an edge length of around 62mm allowing it to fit comfortably in my relatively large hands. Like most 5x5s in recent times, the outer layers are a little larger than the inners, to improve the 3x3 stage. You won't feel the difference when you're solving it. To me, the magnets on the inner layers seem noticeably stronger than the outer layers, which I like. If you pick up the stickerless model, I'm sure you'll enjoy the vibrant shades as much as I do. It makes recognition just that little bit more easy in my opinion.
Corner cutting is standard for a flagship 5x5, and depending on how you tension it and lubricate it, you can push it a little further (or hold it back a bit). Obviously, this also affects speed, catches, lockups, and pops. I'm happy to report that I've not had a single pop (yet!), though I've had several lockups and catches. This, however, is normal, and probably reflects the fact that I need to adjust my turning style to get the most out of this puzzle. Additionally, this is something that I expect will naturally improve over time as the cube gets more use.
I never used to practice 5x5 too much because I wasn't a big fan of my previous main (MoYu AoChuang GTS M 5x5), but this cube changed everything. On my first day with it, I reduced my PB single from 2:24 to 1:44, and I'm just getting better and better the more I use it.
All in all - it's a brilliant cube. Whilst the MGC 5x5 boasts impressive performance after minimal setup, it retains a modest price, and I can certainly recommend this cube to anyone. YJ has done it again, proving once more that you don't need to break the bank to break your barriers.

This Cube is super fast and very stable. It is good out of the box which makes it good for anyone who doesn’t want to spend time setting it up. It is now my main 5x5 and i have been practising way more since getting this cube! Recommendable to anybody!

Amazing 5x5 for only £16 smooth turns and corner cutting with some lube it performs like a £30 cube. It has whole peice corner cutting but you must still must be careful or you will get pops

Really enjoyed using the 4x4 in the mgc range and had high expectations for the 5x5. And I was not disappointed, everything clicks into place and turns effortlessly!! Really enjoying using this after a few days and would highly recommend. Great price and fantastic product! If you looking for a decent low budget 5x5 I would stop reading and purchase this for sure.

Love it!! Needed lubing out of the box, but once that was sorted it’s a great cube and I really enjoy solving it. Magnets feel nice, medium strength and layers click into place nicely so I’m not worried about lockups! 10/10 recommend it!

Doesn't really reverse corner cut but everything else is good especially for the price

It turns really nice and the magnets feel nice. It’s satisfying to turn however it is quite fast and doesn’t corner cut that much. It is possible to get really fast times on it but you would need to adjust your turning style.

This cubes quality is phenomenal for the price, I would 100% recommend it for people who like 5x5. One downside is that you can hear spring noises but with lube they were gone!

The usual super fast delivery from kewbz. Tightened each screw half a turn, a touch of lube and I'm very happy. I'm no expert but I am enjoying learning 5x5 with this cube, great value for money.

I've got this one after seeing it was popular and I needed a comp legal 5x5 before today's comp started and needless to say it performed well enough (after several iterations on tensioning it).
